Montana once stated in an interview that she relocated to Los Angeles with only $135 with the dream of becoming a model.
Growing up, Riley enjoyed listening to the music singer and songwriter Erykah Badu.
Montana has appeared on the cover of various magazines including Numéro, French, Elle, Wonderland, D’Scene, Harper’s Bazaar, Open Lab, Vogue, and L’Officiel.
Riley has been featured on models.com‘s “Top 50 Models” and “Hot List” in the past.
She made her debut at the DKNY Fashion / Winter 14 Show in February 2014.
Over the years, Riley has walked the ramp for several well-known designers and brands such as Marc Jacobs, Balmain, Oscar de la Renta, Rodarte, Bottega Veneta, Nina Ricci, Tory Burch, Anna Sui, DKNY, Dolce & Gabbana, Moschino, Rodarte, Tommy Hilfiger, and Zac Posen.
One of her aims as of 2015, was to begin a non-profit organization for foster kids.
She had resided in Southfield, Michigan in the past.
Prior to signing with L.A. Models, she worked multiple jobs including Popeyes, Claire’s, Sprint, and RadioShack.
It was Italian fashion designer Riccardo Tisci who helped her launch her career.
Something that is surprising about her is that she can sing.
