British singer-songwriter Conor Maynard has blessed us continuously throughout his 6 year-long career with some of the greatest bops. His achievements speak for him: He started his career by winning MTV’s “Brand New” award in 2012, and went on to sell at least 1 million copies of his work in the UK alone. His determination to be make it big has also seen him gain the role of Charlie Price in the Tony Award winning musical Kinky Boots this year.
Not only can the singer look back on some big awards but also on some successful collaborations. He has created magic with major forces in the music industry such as Rita Ora, Pharrell Williams, and even Alesso as well as Cash Cash. In order to celebrate the end of the year with a bang, he now decided to drop something even bigger and added two more stars to his musical friends: Hardwell and the one and only Snoop Dogg
The latest release is titled “How You Love Me” and seamlessly blends the three artists’ musical visions into one beautiful fabric. It is a late tropical-tinged cocktail, perfect for a time-out during the stressful winter times.
To celebrate the release of the new single “How You Love Me”, we have decided to compile a list of our current favorite tracks by Conor Maynard. The order is not ranked since we could simply not decide which ones we love more.
Read more down below and check out whether your favorite made our list as well:
Conor Maynard – R U Crazy
Produced and co-written by Labrinth, this track first debuted in 2013. “R U Crazy” became Conor’s second-best placing single in the UK , with a placement at number four on the charts. Filled with thumping beats and showcasing a more mature side of Conor’s abilities, it was an obvious choice for our list of favorites.
Kriss Kross Amsterdam x The Boy Next Door featuring Conor Maynard – Whenever
Accumulating 124 million streams in less than 6 months after its release on Spotify alone, “Whenever” quickly became a fan-favorite. The song samples Shakira’s “Whenever Wherever” over a light tropical house beat and is filled to the brim with literally irresistible content. “Whenever” is the summer bop we never knew we needed but luckily received.
Hardwell featuring Conor Maynard & Snoop Dogg – How You Love Me
This latest release goes directly into our list of fan-favorites. Mixing Hardwell’s tropical flavors with Conor’s pop vibes and an already iconic verse by Snoop Dogg, “How You Love Me” is the perfect thank you gift by Conor to his fans, just before his first album with original songs is set to debut next year. Conor Maynard – Royalty
“Deserves Better”, as Stan Twitter would now like to scream, is what we always think to ourselves while listening to “Royalty”. The 2015 release is a wonderful blend of different genres that for whatever reason did not chart. Here is a list of reasons why it should have: it is light, it is bubbly, it is a bit jazzy, very rhythmic, it makes us want to scream (and shout) along to the lyrics and it just generally a very very good song.
Conor Maynard – Don’t Let Me Down
75 million streams speak for themselves: Originally released as part of his 2016 record “Covers”, this Chainsmokers cover quickly became a stand-out hit. Conor’s version brings us all the feels and manages to truly capture and transport the song’s strong, heartfelt message to us.
SDJM featuring Conor Maynard – That Way
Conor would have made a great Backstreet Boy, we often think to ourselves while listening to this tropical deep-house reimagination. Simply dance away the winter blues by blasting this tune.
Conor Maynard – Animal
“Animal” , produced by the Invisible Men (“Fancy”, “Love Made Me Do It”), remains as one of Conor’s best. Even 5 years after its debut, the song appears as fresh as ever before with its big synths, disco-ready beats and very straight-to-the-point-lyrics. Bonus Points go out to the Wideboys Remix.
Alesso – Remedy
Yes, you may have guessed it, the beautiful voice singing this song is no one other than Conor Maynard. With almost 100 million streams only a couple of months after its release, this soft dance-pop track struck light like a lightning bolt and manages to make us feel happy like never before.
Conor Maynard – Faded
We were thinking a lot about which other track to include off of “Covers” (because, yes, they are all extremely good so the decision was very difficult). At the end of the day, choices had to be made and “Faded” appeared as the light at the end of the tunnel. Conor outdoes himself again with this beautiful version.
Cash Cash featuring Conor Maynard – All My Love
Last but not least: Conor’s 2017 release with Cash Cash. This EDM track is a classic one in our opinion and gives Conor’s voice the perfect chance to shine over a synthy beat.
“How You Love Me” is out now via Spinnin’ Records on all digital retailers and streaming platforms. You can buy or listen to it by clicking the link right here.
